England Coast Path part 2- Walking from Amble to Redcar
Alba's 11th fundraiser and her first of 2023!!
Can you believe back in March 2021
when she took on 310,000 steps for Samaritans that all those months
later we'd be planning her 11th fundraiser?!
She's raised over £19,000 throughout her fundraisers so far and endless
awareness which is AMAZING!
She has chosen to support Mind.
They do incredible work and we hope Alba's fundraising will be a big support.
The plan
We have lots of different routes and adventures we would LOVE to take on in 2023 but have decided to walk the England Coast Path! Having already walked Redcar to Spurn Point on her 10th fundraiser we found a route to connect to this which was accessible... SO Amble to Redcar it is! The whole route follows the England Coast Path and is a plotted and planned route.
Her 12th fundraiser has now also been planned and this is because a new chunk of the coastal path has opened SO fingers crossed a few weeks later in February we'll complete from Amble UP to the Scotland/England border. We have decided that business sponsors will sponsor both and both will support Mind.

THE ROUTE
Alba has been fundraising since March 2021 on a mission to raise awareness for mental health and charities supporting it. If you know anything of Alba, you'll know her reasons but for those that don't, she's doing it for her daddy and those just like him. From 3 months old Alba was visiting him in psychiatric hospitals whilst he did all he could to get well enough to be home. They did bedtimes via facetime, supervised visits and Christmas in family rooms on the wards of big hospitals. However, that is her hero. And she wants to do all she can to change the way people see and talk about mental health.
She's walked 100s of miles, 100s of 1000s of steps, she's walked from Castleford to Scarborough and recently Redcar to Spurn Point and so much in such a short amount of time raising so much awareness and money for lots of charities.
And now she's planning her 11th. January 21st Alba will arrive in Amble will stay the night ready to start her 100 mile trek the following day! Walking all the way down to Redcar. She's doing it in only 7 days.

Age 5 she created the Orchard Head Covid-19 rock snake, got funding and it now lives in our local park
